Introduction

A yummy simple recipe, makes 6 on my classic 5-heart iron. A yummy simple recipe, makes 6 on my classic 5-heart iron.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 egg, room temp and separated
    1 cup whole grain flour
    1 t baking powder
    1/4 t baking soda
    1/4 t salt
    1 t sugar
    1 cup buttermilk
    2 T butter, melted and cooled

Directions

Makes 6 5-heart waffles.
Beat egg white til stiff and set aside. Mix dry ingrediants and set aside. Combine yolk, buttermilk and melted butter. Add to dry ingrediants and mix until just blended. Fold in egg white, do not overbeat! Cook according to your iron's directions and enjoy!
