Introduction

This is a traditional dish made in Edmundston New brunswick. Very with good with stews or similar meals. Can also be eaten with molasses, brown sugar or butter. Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2 cups Buckwheat Flour
    1 cup White Flour
    1 tsp. Salt
    2 cups Cold Water
    2 cups Hot Water
    4 tsps. Baking Powder

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients with cold water. Then add hot water. spread about 1/2 cup of mixture in a hot cast iron frying pan. cook about 1 minute. When all shinny is gone from mixture and the sides start t roll off from frying pan, it's cooked. DO NOT COOK ON OTHER SIDE, ONLY NEEDS TO BE COOKED ON ONE SIDE.
