Honey Chili Sauce


Honey Chili Sauce

Introduction

Great over chicken or on warm salads Great over chicken or on warm salads
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1/4 cup onions or shallots
    2/3 cup honey
    1/4 cup vinegar
    1 tsp splenda
    1 tsp chili powder
    1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
    1 and 1/2 cups fat-free/low sodium chicken broth
    salt and pepper to taste

    (Optional ingrediant: 3 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions

Coat saute pan with cooking spray and saute onions until tender on medium-high heat.

Add the honey and vinegar. Quickly stir in the chili powder, cumin, splenda and chicken broth. Bring to a boil and reduce by half.

Transfer sauce to a blender or food processor and blend at high speed until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

Great over chicken!!
