Ingredients

    2 sticks margarine
    1 Cup White Flour
    1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
    1/4 Cup Wheat Germ
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 1/4 cups brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 egg yolk
    2 tablespoons milk
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    1 Cup Sweetened Dried Cranberries

Directions

Melt the margarine in a heavy-bottom medium saucepan over low heat. Sift together the flour, wheat germ, salt, and baking soda and set aside.

Pour the melted margarine into a bowl. Add the sugar and brown sugar. Cream the butter and sugars on medium speed. Add the egg, yolk, 2 tablespoons milk and vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture until thoroughly combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and cranberries.

Place dough in refrigerator and preheat oven to 375 when oven is up to temp scoop onto parchment-lined or lightly greased baking sheets by teaspoon full. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, checking the cookies after 4 minutes. Rotate the baking sheet for even browning. Place remaining dough back into refrigerator until ready to put on cookie sheet. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
