Introduction

I hate having to make breakfast every morning, and this recipe has helped me avoid making bad choices! An alternative to oatmeal, and you can substitute any juice (or extra water) for the apple juice to save on calories (I prefer it without the apple juice). I like to add some Splenda brown sugar blend, delicous! I hate having to make breakfast every morning, and this recipe has helped me avoid making bad choices! Ingredients

    4 cups water
    1.5 cups apple juice
    1 cup steel cut oats
    0.5 cup barley
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp ground ginger
    1/4 tsp salt


Directions

Dump everything into your crock pot, set on low heat for 6-7 hours (overnight) and enjoy all week for breakfast! Add a different fruit each day and you'll never get bored. Makes 6 2/3-cup servings.
