Homemade Spaghetti Sause

Introduction

A delicious family recipe! A delicious family recipe!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 can 14oz. tomato puree
    1 can 6oz tomato paste
    1 can 14oz diced tomatoes (do not drain)
    1 can 12-14oz tomato sauce (optional)
    1/3 cup dried romano or parmesan/romano cheese mix
    1/4 onion or 1 tsp dried onion
    1 garlic clove or 1 tsp garlic powder
    2 tablespoons sugar (very important!)
    1/2 tsp italian seasoning
    1/2 tsp oregano
    dash cayenne pepper (very little)
    1 bay leaf

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on low for about 4-6 hours or on high for about 2-3 hours. Or, you can cook on the stove in about an hour and a half. *note: tastes best with romano cheese but works well with a romano/parmesan mix.
