Red's Spicy Sloppy Joe's

Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    One package of extra lean ground turkey
    One package of organic sloppy joe mix
    1/2 large onion
    1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 cup water
    1 tsp tabasco sauce
    black pepper
    cayenne pepper

Directions

dice the onions

Put olive oil in the pan, medium high heat

Cook onions & turkey into the pan (turkey can be frozen, it will unthaw as it cooks) at medium high heat until the turkey browns (about 5 minutes).

in a side bowl, mix water, tomato paste, tabasco sauce and sloppy joe mix.

When the turkey is browned, mix in the sloppy joe sauce and heat on low for about 5 minutes.

Serve inside a whole wheat hamburger bun, or my favorite, whole wheat English muffins.
