French Onion Soup

Introduction

Tasty low cal soup to fill you up! On those "I had too many calorie days!"
For more authentic French Onion serve with toasted bread and grurye cheese floating on top.
Tasty low cal soup to fill you up! On those "I had too many calorie days!"
For more authentic French Onion serve with toasted bread and grurye cheese floating on top.

Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    1 tbsp olive oil
    2 med onions sliced in rings
    2 cups of water
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    dash of salt

Directions

Heat sauce pan on med heat. Add olive oil and onions, saute onions over med heat until soft and carmelized. Add water, bouillon cubes and bring to a boil. Salt to taste. Serve.

To make it more authentic, top toasted bread with grurye cheese place on top of soup and broil until cheese melts. NOTE: toast and cheese add lots of extra calories!
