Having a little something different instead of potatoes and veggies - i tried this and liked it. Tweak it up or down to suit your needs.This also looks good with Red Kidney beans.

Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients

8oz Small Shell Pasta
5oz Frozen Peas OR Corn (half pkt)
1 x 15oz Tin diced Tomatoes
1 x 15oz Tin Black Beans
1 Green Bell Pepper (chopped) or any colour you want
1 med-Lge Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Basil
Salt and Ground Black Pepper to taste
Directions
Cook Pasta with Frozen Peas or Corn as instructed on the Pasta pkt.
While pasta is cooking put drained Black beans in a saucepan together with the undrained Tomatoes, chopped pepper and onion and heat through over medium heat (you can saute the pepper and onion in a skillet first if preferred).
When everything is cooked to your liking combine the ingredients together.
Add Garlic powder, Basil, Salt and Black Ground Pepper to taste.
Serve Hot with Chicken, Steak or Pork.
Serving size = 4 lge or 8 small depending if you're having it as a side or Appetizer.
