  • My changes: I used 1/2 pounds turnips, 1.5 pounds of potato, and 4 cloves of garlic. I used 6 cups boxed chicken broth. I added pepper and a bit of salt. Otherwise, all the same. When blended, it made 8 cups of thick, hearty, delicious, filling, YUMMY soup at 103 calories per cup. - 9/15/11

  • This was great! I had a co-worker bring over some turnips and potatoes from her garden and I wasn't quite sure what to do with them. I made this soup though and it froze well, reheated well, and was a hit with the husband! I also put in some chopped carrots after blending. - 10/4/09
