4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
2 cups White Flour, Unbleached
1 cup Sugar
2 tsp Sea Salt
4 tsp Baking Soda
1 qt. Buttermilk
In a large mixing bowl blend together the first 4 ingredients (whole wheat flour through sea salt).
In a small mixing bowl mix well the baking soda and buttermilk. Pour the buttermilk mixture into the flour mixture and mix well.
Place dough into prepared pans and allow for 1/3 rise.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place loaves on center rack in oven, turn oven temperature down to 350 degrees F and bake bread for 1 hour. Allow to cool on wire rack.
Makes 42 (1.5 oz) or 24 (84g) Servings.
