Easy and Super Healthy Red Beans and Rice

Introduction

I came up with this recipe with just things i had in my pantry. I love red beans and rice and this is the only way i make it now. I came up with this recipe with just things i had in my pantry. I love red beans and rice and this is the only way i make it now.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 Can Red Beans (Drain Juice)
    1 Cup of Brown Rice Prepared ( i used instant)
    1/2 Can Tomatoe Paste
    1 Small Onion Chopped
    1 T Garlic Powder
    1 1/2 t cumin
    2 t ground red pepper
    Low Sodium Chicken broth

Directions

Place onion in a large sauce pan with tomotoe pasted. Saute onions in paste until translucent. Add beans, rice and seasonings. Thin to the consitency you like with chicken broth (or make it vegetarian with vegetable broth). I usually add about 1/2 Cup.

I like so make cornbread on the side.
