Almond Malt-O-Meal

Introduction

A more nutritious breakfast than regular Malt-O-Meal, providing additional protein and healthy fats to keep you satisfied until lunch. A more nutritious breakfast than regular Malt-O-Meal, providing additional protein and healthy fats to keep you satisfied until lunch.
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    2 1/4 cups water
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    3 tablespoons Kretschmer toasted wheat germ
    1/2 cup dry Malt-O-Meal cereal
    3 tablespoons raw almond butter

Directions

Bring water and salt to a boil. Stir in the wheat germ and then slowly pour in the Malt-O-Meal while stirring constantly. Turn heat to low and simmer while stirring for 2-1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the almond butter. Makes about 2 cups cooked, or 3 servings of 2/3 cup each. Serve with your choice of milk (soy, rice, cow, goat, etc...) Milk is not included in the nutritional information. Count it separately.
