Blueberry Cottage Cheese Oatmeal

Introduction

Oatmeal with a protein punch. It's nice and chewy. The longer you microwave it, the more the cottage cheese melts. It's good enough to eat for dessert. Oatmeal with a protein punch. Ingredients

    1/4 cup old fashioned oats (If you prefer more carbs, use 1/2 cup oats instead, it'll add about 75 calories.)
    1/2 cup frozen blueberries, thawed
    1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese
    1/2 Tbsp ground flax
    1/4 tsp Splenda brown sugar blend
    Dash of cinnamon

Directions

Stir all ingredients together in bowl. Microwave on high for 1-1.5 minutes depending on your taste. Stir and enjoy!

  • i was messing around with ingredients earlier this week, and i made up almost the exact same thing! this is a great, healthy recipe, and i agree, it is good enough for a dessert. the cottage cheese gets all creamy and delicious when melted. but instead of flax seed, i use wheat germ, and no sugar - 4/23/10
