Introduction

A homemade stew for a winter day. Very comforting and warm.
Add any vegetables you like!
A homemade stew for a winter day. Very comforting and warm.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    800 g stewing beef
    2-3 carrots
    1 small rutabaga
    Root of celery
    3 small onions
    1 Parsnip
    Tomato Paste, a dash
    Garlic 3 cloves or as many as you want
    Pepper & salt to taste
    Arrowroot flour
    100 g creme fraiche (plain or flavored with mushrooms)

Directions

This is slow cooking on the stove or in a cooker.

Brown the cubed beef and let stew in water covering the meat until tender.
Add vegetables (anything you want to add) and spices and cook until vegetables are tender. Add the vegetables that take longest first and the soft vegetables last.
Use the flour to thicken the stew and add creme fraiche.
Can be served with for instance mashed potatoes or boiled potatoes (not included in nutritional info)
