Big Batch 3 Bean Turkey Chili

Introduction

Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1/2 pound ground 93% turkey
    1 pound extra lean ground turkey breast
    1 1/2 cups chopped onion
    1 cup chopped green pepper
    8 tsp minced garlic
    2 jalapeno peppers chopped
    2-28oz cans petite diced tomatoes
    2-14 oz cans tomato sauce
    1-6 oz can tomato paste
    1-14 oz can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
    1-14 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
    1-14 oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    8 oz ground crimini or portabello mushrooms
    1 cup grated carrot
    3 TB chili powder
    1 TB cumin


Directions

Belnd together ground turkey, then brown in large fry pan. Place in crockpot. Saute peppers and onions until tender, add in garlic and jalapenos saute for another 2 minutes making sure garlic doesn't burn. Add to crock pot along with tomato products, carrots and beans. Brown ground mushrooms and add to crock pot. Add seasonings. Cook a minimum of 1 hour on high or longer. Makes 24 - 1 cup servings.
