1 lb ground venison
salt and pepper(to taste)
1 cup chopped green bell peppers
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 1/2 cup sliced okra (fresh or frozen)
2 cups corn kernels(fresh or frozen)
1/4 tsp thyme
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 1/2 cups diced tomatoes (drained)fresh or canned
1 tablespoon Cajun/Creole spice(or to taste)
Layer, as listed, in a crock pot. Cover and cook on high about 3 hours. Decrease to low, stir well, cover and continue until onions are translucent--about 2 more hours.
**For the vegetarians, it's very good without the meat--just add a little olive oil to the bottom of the pot.
