IntroductionA hearty soup with whole wheat pasta, veggies & beans. A hearty soup with whole wheat pasta, veggies & beans.
4 Cups Chicken Broth (I used Swanson's 99% Fat Free)
1 Cup Whole Wheat Elbow/Bow Tie Pasta
1 1/2 Cups White Beans
1 Cup Red Kidney Beans
3 Carrots, Sliced
1 Cup Onion, Sliced
2 Minced Garlic Cloves
2 Cans Hunts Diced Tomatoes w/ Basil, Garlic & Oregano
1-2 tsp Basil & Rosemary
Add salt & pepper to taste
2) Cook for 5 minutes & stir occasionally.
3) Stir in chicken broth and tomato mix, stir.
4) Add pasta & cook until pasta is soft (about 10 minutes).
5) Add beans last and simmer for about 2-3 minutes...enjoy!
Grated Parmesan is great on this soup along with a little black pepper & salt.
