Breakfast Green Smoothie

Introduction

Really the color turns out more purple, but I call it a green smoothie because of the "greens" in it... it helps get those veggies in... if you drink the whole recipe you'll be getting a little less than 8 servings of fruits and veggies all in one meal... I enjoy this smoothie myself once a day... enjoy! Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    no fat Plain Yogurt 1 cup
    Spinach, fresh, 4 cup (I use baby spinach)
    Blueberries, frozen (unsweetened),1/2 cup,
    Strawberries, frozen, unsweetened, 5 berries
    Banana, fresh, 1 small
    Water, 1 cup
    Whole Ground Flaxseed Meal, 2 Tbsp
    Kale 1/2 cup (if you can't find kale then substitute another 1/2 cup spinach)
    Stevia- 1-2 packets

Directions

Put yogurt (you can omit this see note below), spinach, kale and water into blender... blend until spinach is chopped up then add remaining ingredients.... Blend until desired smoothness- I usually leave the room to go do something for a minute then come back and enjoy the smoothie!

*note on yogurt... if you want to omit the yogurt take away 137 calories, 18 grams carbs, and 14 grams of protein.
