My Guacamole

Ingredients

    2 Hass avocados
    1/3 cup minced red onion
    1/2 cup canned green chiles
    2 tbls fresh cilantro
    juice of one lemon or lime
    2 garlic cloves minced
    1/4 tsp of salt
    2/3 cup chopped tomatoes

Directions

Combin all ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Lemon or lime will help tp keep the avocado from turning brown. Also, keeping the seeds and puting them in the guacamole after mixing will help reduce browning.

  • Love this recipe because of the extra veggies! I have also added low fat cottage cheese to the mix to up the calcium/protein and to reduce the fat calories. (It stretches the dip,too.) Great! - 2/8/09
