Easy to make just add all the ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours on low heat. You can cut your veggies anyway you like, but I like mine chopped small. I always rinse my lentils first and pick out any "bad seeds". Also, the bay leaf isn't crushed into the soup I just add two and let it simmer for 2 hrs then remove them.
If you don't like it spicy don't put the curry in. My Oma never made it with curry but I love the flavor and I think it just goes great with lentils.
Oh, I also use Knorr Vegetable Bouillon cube not chicken, but again, that's up to you. (even better if you have your own homemade broth just substitute it for the water)
