Am I missing something? The picture actually shows what looks like a whoopie pie.I see no almonds anywhere OR the mention of the filling?

I have been looking for a low carb recipe like this for a while now. I tried this recipe and found a winner! I did add 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract to the ingredients and used 10 drops liquid sucralose (Sweetzfree) instead of the erythritol. Great, < 1 net carb treat! - 9/24/09

  • yummy but I think I would add more erythritol/stevia to it next time - it was a bit too bitter at times. Adding a raspberry on top helped cut the dark chocolate taste too. - 12/25/12

  • Terrible directions. What is the filling? The cream cheese? Didn't want to start not knowing where to begin. - 10/17/12

  • I didn't have erythritol and substituted Stevia powder. It didn't work out well. Will try these again with another sweetener. Maybe raw honey or molasses. I will post after trying it. - 2/20/12

I tried this, and it came out so salty I could barley finish chewing! I was sadly disapointed! My boyfriend said they got better as they sat and mellowed out a bit, but hes a huge dark chocolate fan and wasn't asking me to make these again, so that speaks volumes to me. Good luck guys! - 5/22/11

  • Pretty bitter - but I love dark chocolate so this was yummy for me. I will probably try adding vanilla next time. - 3/8/11
