Slow Cooker Chicken & Dumplings

Introduction

Easy chicken dumpling soup Easy chicken dumpling soup
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
    1 Tblsp butter
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 can mix vegetables
    1 red onion, finely diced
    1tsp ea. cumin, parsley, poultry seasoning, season salt and pepper
    1 package refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pcs.

Directions

Place all ingredients into the slow cooker, except the biscuits. Add enough water or chicken broth to cover.
Cover and cook for 5 - 6 hours on medium. Add torn biscuits one hour prior to serving. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

  • I also left out the cumin. I used some frozen baby peas and cut up some carrots as I didn't have a bag of mixed veggies in the house. My husband thought it was fantastic and it's easy enough he could manage it by himself sometime! - 1/12/14

  • This recipe was alright. I didn't really enjoy it and 1 tsp of cumin was way too much in my opinion. It overpowered the rest of the ingredients. - 3/19/09
