Simple Chicken W/ Rice

Introduction

This is the perfect comfort food. So simple to make. It's great when you have a cold or had a cold day. This is the perfect comfort food. So simple to make. It's great when you have a cold or had a cold day.
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    2 chicken legs w/ skin
    1 cup brown rice long grain
    3 garlic cloves
    4 cups water
    2 tsp black pepper
    2 chicken bouillon cubes

Directions

In large pot boil together garlic( crushed) pepper and chicken with skin on for 30 minutes.
Remove chicken from water and skim fat from the top. Remove skin and bebone chicken legs. Chop into small pieces set aside.
Add the brown rice into chicken water also bouillon cubes. Let boil for 10 minutes, then cover and cook an additional 10 minutes on low,(brown rice takes longer to cook. Stir occasionally.
Add chicken back in and cook an additional 10 minutes. Keep an eyes for liquid amounts this is an almost stew not a rice dish, it's supposed to be loose. Add water if neccessary. Enjoy but watch out because anyone who comes near you will want some!!
