Barbeque Chicken

Submitted by: DENIBREITENBACH

Introduction

A grilled favorite! A grilled favorite!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
    1/4 cup reduced sugar ketchup
    3 Tbsps cider vinegar
1 Tbsp white horseradish sauce (white)
    2 tsps dark brown sugar
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/8 tsp ground thyme
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions

Line broiler pan or grill rack with foil.
Preheat broiler, heat charcoal grill unil coals are white ash, or preheat gas grill to medium heat.

Prepare sauce: In a small saucepan, combine ketchup, vinegar, horseradish, brown sugar, garlic, and thyme. Mix well. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until thickened (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat; stir in cayenne.
Brush tops of chicken pieces lightly with sauce. Place chicken, sauce-side down, on a foil-lined broiler pan, or grill rack. Lightly brush chicken with sauce.
Broil or grill approximately 3" from heat, turning and basting with remaining sauce 5 to 7 minutes (until center is no longer pink). Allow chicken to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
