Introduction

My own basic recipe - a favourite of ours. Sometimes I add a layer of dijon mustard on the top and substitute dijon for the ketchup in the recipe as well. My own basic recipe - a favourite of ours. Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 large onion, diced small
    1/4 cup ketchup or 1/8 cup dijon mustard
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 cup dried bread crumbs
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef

Directions

Combine all ingredients gently with your hands and pat firmly into loaf pan.

Makes a small loaf which we cut into 8 servings.
