Introduction

I make this without sugar, but you can add stevia or splenda to sweeten it a bit. I find that just the apples and the spices are enough. I also like to leave the peals on, as this is where all of the fiber is. I make this without sugar, but you can add stevia or splenda to sweeten it a bit. Ingredients

    10 Granny Smith Apples, cored
    3 cinnamon sticks
    10 cloves
    4 cardamom pods
    1c water

Directions

care the apples, but do not peal. slice and put in a port with the water and the spices. simmer for about 20 minutes or until the apples are soft and mash easily when stirred. remove cloves, cinnamon sticks and cardamom. put apple with water in a food processor and blend until sauce consistency. cool and serve. makes 10 servings
