Mom's Garden Salad

Introduction

Mixed salad, using whatever you have available Mixed salad, using whatever you have available
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
    1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1 clove garlic
    3 green onions
    1 red bell pepper
    1 green bell pepper
    1 granny smith apple
    1/4 cup golden raisins
    1/2 cucumber
    1 cup seedless grapes

Directions

Mix vinegar, oil, pepper, salt, sugar and crushed garlic.

Chop or slice all fruits and vegetables.

Mix and then refrigerate for at least one hour.

Also good with mandarin oranges, sweet corn, broccoli

  • great for summer. It's a little cold in New England right now to really appreciate it. The balsamic vinegar is nice and sweet so It complements the apple. I leave out raisins when I prepare food. The only thing I like with my raisins, is other raisins.. - 3/10/07
