This recipe is from allrecipes.com, it makes really lovely cheesy bread or bread sticks. Although it requires yeast, there is no rising time involved so it is quick to put together. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 1/4 tsp yeast
    1 1/2 C warm water

    1 1/2 tbsp butter
    1 1/2 tbsp sugar
    1/4 tsp salt

    3 1/2 C flour

    1/4 C shredded mozzarella cheese
    1/4 C shredded cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1/4 tsp onion powder

Directions

Combine yeast and warm water, stir until yeast is dissolved.

Add butter, sugar and salt to yeast mixture, stir until combined.

Add half the flour (I use half whole wheat, half white, so I put in one type now and the other later). Stir until smooth.

Add cheeses and spices to batter, stir until combined.

Add remaining flour a bit at a time until a soft dough forms.

Turn dough out on floured surface and knead until elastic (6 - 10 minutes).

Form into loaves or breadsticks and place in greased pans.

Bake in preheated oven at 350F for 25 - 30 min or until golden brown.

Makes 12, 10" x 1" bread sticks.
