Introduction

Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1 pound ground beef
    1 cup carrots, chopped
    1 cup celery, chopped
    1 cup potatoes, chopped
    1 14-ounce can lowfat cream of mushroom soup
    1 14-ounce can lowfat cream of celery soup
    1/2 onion, large, chopped
    3/4 cup water
    1 1.37-ounce envelope onion soup mix
    1 cup frozen green peas

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9 x 13" pan.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until the meat is no longer pink. Drain and rinse the meat in hot water. Saute the onion in the skillet until tender. Return meat to skillet and stir to combine.

Combine the browned meat mixture with the chopped vegetables in the 9 x 13" pan.

In a small mixing bowl, use a wire whisk to blend the soups, water, and onion soup mix until smooth. Pour soup mixture over the top of the meat and vegetables. Cover with aluminum foil.

Bake at 350ºF. for 1 1/2 hours or until vegetables are tender.
