EFL Hot Stuff Chili

Ingredients

    2.5 lbs. lean ground beef
    1 C onion, diced
    1 C red pepper diced
    1 C green pepper diced
    3 TBSP jalapeno pepper diced
    8 cloves garlic, minced
    2 cans reduced sodium beef broth
    1/2 C red wine
    1 can kidney beans
    1 can chili beans
    28 oz. diced tomatoes
    1/3 C chili powder
    1 tsp cayenne pepper
    1 1/2 tsp ground cumin

Directions

Brown ground beef in large skillet. Add onions, peppers, jalapeno, and garlic. Cook for about 8 minutes or until meat in no longer pink.

Stir in seasonings and cook for 2 minutes more.

Add beef broth, wine, tomatoes and beans and bring to a boil over high heat.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 90 minutes.
