Yummy Simple French Toast

Introduction

Rather than letting the bread soak, I just make sure the surface is covered before sticking the bread on the skillet. Quick and easy to prepare, this breakfast sticks with me all morning long!

(Note: I usually enjoy this with a little bit of Organic Pure Syrup and 1/3 of an apple.)

Ingredients

    1 pat Butter (unsalted is best)

    2 slices Whole wheat bread (with no high fructose corn syrup, I aim to keep it 100 cal or less per slice)

    1 tsp Cinnamon

    1 tbsp Milled Flax

    1 tbsp Honey

    2 Egg Whites

Directions

Thoroughly mix all the ingredients with the exception of the butter and bread in a bowl. Heat the butter in a skillet on medium heat. Dredge the both sides of the bread in the mixture, place on the skillet. Cook until each side is thoroughly toasted - to your preferences, approx. 3-5 min. per side. Serve dry or with your favourite syrup!
