Ingredients

    2 pounds lean ground beef
    1 qt tomato juice low salt
    1 (20 oz) can tomato puree
    1 (15oz) can red beans
    1 1/2 c onion, chopped
    1/2 c celery, chopped
    1/2 c green peppers, diced
    1/4 c chili powder
    1 t cumin
    1 1/2 t garlic powder
    1 t salt
    1/2 t each - black pepper, parsley, and sugar
    1/8 t cayenne pepper, optional

Directions

In a frying pan, brown the ground beef, onion, celery, and green pepper, drain if needed. Put the remaining ingredients in. Let simmer for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
