Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. baking soda
1/8 t. salt
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. rolled oats
1/4 c. flax seed meal
1/4 c. wheat germ
2 oz. dark chocolate, finely chopped
1/4 c. dried cranberries
1/4 c. toasted walnuts, chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. In large mixing bowl, beat butter w/mixer on med. speed for 30 seconds, add sugars, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Beat in flour. Stir in rolled oats, flax, wheat germ, chocolate, cranberries and walnuts (dough will be a little crumbly).
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until tops are lightly browned. Let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool. Makes 30 cookies.
