Quick Yeast Rolls

Our good Midwestern friends served up these rolls when we visited. The smell of the rolls baking are enough to make great memories. Needless to say, I had to have the recipe to use for my own family. Ingredients

1 pckg dry yeast
1 tblsp melted margarine
1 egg beaten
1 cup lukewarm water
4 tblsp sugar
1 tsp salt
flour - enought to make a soft dough - about 4 cups
Directions
Mix all ingredients, EXCEPT flour and let stand for 10 minutes.
Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead dough a few times and shape into rolls about the size of two golf balls. (Makes 9 rolls)
Place in greased 8x8 pan. Rise in oven that was preheated to 150 degrees. Turn oven off and put on highest rack with pan of hot water on shelf below it. Rise for about 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
These rolls freeze well. Thaw and then warm in oven.
