Kanji's Make your own Peanut Butter

Submitted by: KANJISHINOBI

Introduction

I am a huge fan of Peanut Butter, but one primary concern that most nutritionists have thrown at me is that you want to try to maintain a 10% or lower (if possible) of saturated fats in your foods so I decided it would be easier to just make my own. Ingredients

Margarine 70% vegetable oil spread (or other healthy oils) 2 tbsp (or more to keep it moist)
Splenda, 6 tsp (or more for flavor)
    Flax Seet, 1 cup

Directions

Take your flax seeds and place it in food processor along with your sweetener, and start blending and slowly add your healthy oil (of if you went with the margarine melt down before hand) into the mix.

Once it starts to look smooth turn it off scoop out into a bowl and apply it anyway you would normal peanut butter.

Between bread, with ice cream, etc. I hope you enjoy it and if you have a magic bullet it should be alright to just place all of the ingredients in at once but just do it small bits at a time, because those tiny blades can only do so much.
