7's Spicy Sausage Supper

Introduction

This is mom's modified "spanish rice" dish. Mom's way of making of turning some ground beef into a dinner for SIX. But i use spicy italian sausage and added black beans. This is mom's modified "spanish rice" dish. Mom's way of making of turning some ground beef into a dinner for SIX. But i use spicy italian sausage and added black beans.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 pound spicy or mild italian sausage
    1 box of flavored rice side dish (doesn't matter what flavor - just throw away the saltly seasoning pkg)
    1 can black beans
    2 can stewed tomato (i actually use the "fancy that has peppers and onions in it)
    2 cups of Frozen Pepper and onion mix
    hot pepper flakes if you want to add more HEAT

Directions

Prepare box of rice according to instructions but DO NOT use seasoning pkg.
Cut sausage into chunks and brown in skillet.
toss in frozen pepper and onions, black beans and canned tomatos in to the skillet. Sprinkle in some hot pepper flakes if desired and mix with the rice and serve.
