Honey Pepper Sauce for Salmon
Submitted by: ROSSOLILLEIntroduction
A little spicy, a little sweet. A great addition to Salmon, but you could try it on pork or chicken too! A little spicy, a little sweet. A great addition to Salmon, but you could try it on pork or chicken too!Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
3/4 c. honey
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. dark brown sugar (packed)
1/4 c. pineapple juice
Juice of 1 lemon (approx 2 tbsp.)
2 tbsp white distilled vinegar
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Directions
Make the sauce by combining all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium/low heat. Stir occasionally until sauce begins to boil, then simmer uncovered for 15 minutes or until syrupy. Watch the sauce closely to be sure it doesn't bubble over.
You can serve it on the side in a dipping cup, or spoon it over the top of the meat.
