Introduction

This is essentially a beefaroni dish that I always had growing up. Without beef it's just called macaron. Made with spaghetti noodles instead we called it Fideo. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Tomato Sauce, 1 small can 8 oz
    Water 4 cups
    Macaroni, enriched, 2 cups elbow shaped
    Ground beef, lean, 16 oz (remove)
    salt, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tbsp
    canola oil 1 tbsp

Directions

heat oil in a skillet and brown the beef.

push meat to the outer edges of the pan and add macaroni...brown lightly for about 5 minutes and then add tomato sauce and about 4 cans of water, or enough to just cover the macaroni. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to simmer for about 20-30 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the noodles are al dente. Season with a little salt and pepper. Should serve 5-6 people.
