Introduction

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 can green beans
    4 ounces extra-lean hamburger (A lump the size of a deck of cards.)
    -or-
    6 ounces hamburger, rinsed in hot running water after cooking
    gravy spices (one bay leaf)
    1 Tbsp corn starch
    salt to taste

Directions

Drain water from one can green beans into a pan. Boil it for five minutes with your favorite gravy spices (I use one bay leaf.)
While it boils, crumble and cook four ounces extra lean hamburger.
After five minutes, Remove bay leaf and add cooked, drained hamburger.
Add 1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed into 1/4 cup water. simmer to desired thickness, stirring often.
May be eaten plain or served over potatoes, toast, rice or noodles. Serves one.
