Perfect light snack that can be served with warm flat bread or veggies. Perfect light snack that can be served with warm flat bread or veggies.
Number of Servings: 12


    1 can (15 ounces) chick peas
    1 Tbsp tahini (sesame seed paste)
    2 garlic cloves, roasted and cooled
    1 tsp. EVOO
    juice of one and one half lemons
    salt to taste


Drain chick peas and reserve the juice. Combine chick peas, tahini, roasted garlic, olive oil and lemon juice in blender, bullet or food processor. While blending, slowly add reserved juice until chick peas reaches the desired consistency. Add salt to taste. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.

Serve with warmed pita or flat bread wedges.
