Introduction

Great soup any time, especially if you want to drop a few pounds in just a couple days. Add TOFU or boiled chicken if desired for protein. Great soup any time, especially if you want to drop a few pounds in just a couple days. Add TOFU or boiled chicken if desired for protein.

Ingredients

    Chicken Broth, 1/2 gallon
    8 stalks celery
    4 large carrots
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 small head cabbage, sliced
    1.25 pounds fresh chopped kale
    2-28 oz cans petite diced tomatoes
    1-28 oz can green beans

Directions

Dice up carrots, celery, and onions and place is large soup pan. Add just enough broth to cover and bring to boil for 10-15 minutes. Add balance of broth, sliced cabbage, and chopped kale. Bring to boil and simmer 45 minutes. Add canned tomatoes and green beans, cook additional 30 minutes. Top with chopped parsley if desired. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Kick it up with cayenne pepper.
