Cream of White sweet potato & Potato soup

Introduction

White sweet potatoes are so yummy - just sweet enough but, not as sweet as Yams. Their flesh looks white like potatotes. The combination with all the normal ingredients of a creamy soup topped with bacon bits that give the taste of bacon without the fat, is fantastic! Ingredients

    *Potato, raw, 1 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) (remove)
    Sweet potato, .75 sweetpotato, 5" long (remove)
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
    Clarified butter/Ghee, .3 tbsp (remove)
    *Horizon Organic Fat Free Milk, 1 cup (remove)
    *Whole Milk / Vitamin D, .4 cup (remove)
    Half and Half Cream, 2 tbsp (remove)
    Fresh Chives, 1 tbsp chopped (remove)
    Parsley, 1 tbsp (remove)
    McCormick spicy Montreal steak grill mates seasoning, 1 serving (remove)
    Ocean salt, 0.25 tsp (remove)
    *Hormel Bacon Bits, 3 tbsp (remove)
    Herb Ox sodium free instant broth with seasoning, 1 serving (remove)
    Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    Trader Joe's 21 gun salute spicing.


Directions

Sautee chopped onion in ghee till it is transparent. Add water, herbox chicken broth dry seasoning mix * you can use North pacific veggie or chicken broth as you prefer, cubed new potato with skin and peeled, cubed sweet potato and all the dry spices. I used freeze dried chives too. Cook till tender, covered tight and mash with a masher. Add milk s and chopped parsley, bring to a boil. Stir in half and half, Sprinkle with bacon bits and serve hot! Serves 3 a cup of soup each.
