Green Peppers (bell peppers), 6 peppers
Ground beef, extra lean, 1 pound
*Quaker Oats - Quick 1 Minute - Dry, 1/2cup
1 Egg or equivilent egg substitute
Onions, raw, .25 cup, chopped
Tomato Sauce, 1 can
*A1 steak Sauce, 2 tbsp
Yellow Mustard, 4 tbsp
Brown Sugar, 4 tsp packed
Set the pepper 'bowls' in a stew pot with about 1/4 inch water. Steam the peppers about 5 minutes.
Carefully remove the peppers from the pot using tongs.
In a bowl, combine beef, oats, egg, onion, diced peppers, and tomato sauce - reserve back 2 tbsp sauce for topping.
Stuff into peppers and bake on 400 about 30 minutes or until meat is done.
Mix together the reserved tomato sauce, mustard A-1 sauce and brown sugar.
Smear the top of the meat in each pepper and cook additional 5 minutes.
