Country Gizzards 'n' Rice

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    0.50 lbs chicken gizzards thawed
    1 cup uncooked rice
    1 cup chicken broth
    1 cup milk, 1%
    1/2 cup white flour
    1 cup Fred Meyer's Garden Blend, Country Style Frozen Vegitables

Directions

Begin by placing gizzards in medium size skillet and brown lightly over medium heat. Prepare gravy mixture using flour and chicken broth stir or shake until flour is completely mixed, no lumps (may add small amount of milk to mixture if needed to dissolve flour) when ready add flour mixture to gizzards over medium-low heat and stir until smooth then add frozen veggies and cover lower heat and simmer, adding milk to keep gravy smooth and fluid, until veggies are tender. Serve over 1/2 cup of cooked rice. Makes 4 servings 1 cup each.
