Ally's Homemade Macaroni & Cheese

Introduction

This is not SP friendly!!! This is true homemade mac & cheese. I just entered it for the nutritional info and thought I would share it. This is not SP friendly!!! This is true homemade mac & cheese. I just entered it for the nutritional info and thought I would share it.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    8oz uncooked elbow macaroni
    8oz shredded extra sharp white cheddar
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 TBSP flour
    3 TBSP butter
    2 cups milk
    black pepper to your taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.
Boil elbow macaroni for 9 minutes.
While preparing macaroni, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and black pepper and cook until onion is translucent. Add flour and mix until onion is coated with flour. Gradually add milk, stirring. Heat milk mixture until boiling. Then add cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
Add cooked, drained elbow macaroni to cheese mixture. Stir until well blended. Add to a 2 or 2-1/2 qt baking dish. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until bubbly and only slightly golden on top.
