Semolina, unenriched, 1 cup (remove)
Egg, fresh, 2 large (remove)
Pepper, black, .5 tsp (remove)
Carrots, cooked, 2 carrot (remove)
Salt, .5 tsp (remove)
Chicken Broth or Bouillon, 8 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
2. In a bowl beat the eggs. Add gris and salt and mix until the mixture is well blended and doughy.
3. Drop the dough by the spoonful into the boiling soup mixture. The dumplings will be done in 10 minutes after they rise to surface. Serve hot.
***This is a very basic verson. You can add chicken (1 lb), potatoes (4-5), onions (3-5), a celery or even a parsnip if you'd like a heaver soup.
