White Wine Chicken in Onion Soup Mix

Introduction

Chicken dish browned in a light coating of flour and simmered in white wine and dry onion soup mix. Can be servied with rice or noodles. Easy and good enough for a Sunday dinner. Ingredients

    3 large Chicken Breasts, bone & skin removed
    *2 tbsp. Extra Light Olive Oil,
    *1/2 cup Wheat Flour,
    *1 package Dry Onion Soup Mix, Dry
    *4 fl oz White Wine,
    * 2 fl oz. Water

Directions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Cut chicken breasts in half and lightly dredge chicken in flour, place in skillet until lightly browned on both sides. Approximately 3-4 minutes per side. Remove chicken, drain any leftover oil from skillet. Replace chicken, pour wine and water into skillet. Then sprinkle chicken with dry onion soup mix. Let simmer for 35-40 or until liquid is reduced. Serve alone or over rice or noodles. Makes 6 servings.
