Mushroom/Wild Rice soup base

Introduction

This receipe makis a rich flavored base.
Braise the mushrooms in the olive oil then add the other ingredients
The base should cook until the wild rice is fully cooked. I took about 60 min.
Prep time about 20 min.

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    20 oz Baby portobello (or giant size )mushrooms - sliced in bite-sized chunks
    4 cups lower sodium Swanson Chicken Broth
    3 5/8 oz dry wild rice
    1/4 C, olive oil
    1 qt. water
    1 lb baby carrots (cut in half)


Directions

1.prepare and store in fridg.
2.to eat - take 1-1 1/2 cups of base
3.then add whatever meat you have - chicken, etc about 3-4 oz.
4. add veges - onions,peas, corn or whatever
5. Heat and serve
This prep time = 10 min tops!
