Cream of Tomato Soup

Introduction

28 oz of canned tomatoes
4 cups chicken stock
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 tbsp butter
parsley - a couple shakes
thyme - 1/2 tsp or so
1 cup 1% milk
celery salt
pepper

Number of Servings: 7

Ingredients

    28 oz of canned tomatoes
    4 cups chicken stock
    1 onion, chopped
    1 carrot, chopped
    1 tbsp butter
    5 tbsp flour
    4 cloves diced garlic
    parsley - a couple shakes
    thyme - 1/2 tsp or so
    1 cup 1% milk
    celery salt
    pepper

Directions

Saute onion and carrots and garlic. Add in flour, and cook for about 3 min. Add in broth and tomatoes. Simmer for 30-40 min. Puree in blender, than add milk, than serve.

For a creamier soup - use cream!

I like mine with fresh basil on top
